After being scared away from another bar and realizing our options were limited and it was getting late, we decided to try this place out based solely on other Yelp reviews, and we were all glad we did. I was with my family and we were a group of 5. It seemed pretty slow and we were seated right away. Their menu is HUGE and so were the portions. I got the fish tacos and a big watermelon margarita. There is definitely something for everyone on their menu. Another huge draw for me with places like this is, when you have older servers that WANT to be working and seem like they enjoy their job. I hate it when younger servers act like they are doing you a favor by serving you. The servers here definitely seem like they are experienced, enjoy serving their customers, and make a living doing it. I live far away from Twin Falls but would definitely go again if I was needing dinner in the area.

Food is not consistent. Service is terrible but they try. Been here countless times and they never get an order right the first time. If I have to go again, I'll write the orders for the table. It will save time.

Clean, fresh, friendly. I had the gyro salad which was great!

Had dinner here while on a road trip. Food was great. I had the Portside chicken and my husband had the bbq sandwich. I liked that I could get a half order - which was very generous. The prices were very reasonable and the service was friendly.

The restaurant is welcoming and the staff was real friendly. The pasta dish I ordered came with more than enough past for 2 people. The presentation was nice but the taste was lacking. The others at my table had a similar reaction to their dishes. The sauces were bland, but if they jazzed it up a bit it would have been great. We did have a piece of cheesecake before leaving that that was fantastic which helped our overall review of the restaurant.

We went for our anniversary. The place wasn't busy, but the service was slow and not very friendly. Food was okay, but nothing amazing. The table next to us was very loud, but the restaurant was clean. Okay if your looking for something different than the chains.

I had the misquite chicken and it was pretty good. It tasted fresh and grilled. If it was microwaved it fooled me and I microwave a lot of food vegetables were crisp. For a place that looks like a carrows or dennnys I was pleasantly surprised. Way to go.

I can't begin to describe how poor the service at this restaurant is or how bad the food quality is. Where to start??? I guess from the beginning. The hostess looked like she just rolled out of bed - not professional at all. We waited at the front for five minutes before she even appeared and then just dropped menus off on a table and without eye contact mumbled that someone would be with us. That someone was anything but a server. We ordered a bottle of wine and she placed it on the table with two glasses and walked away. Yup. She didn't even open it for us. The hostess, who it became known was the manager, passed by and I asked for a chiller since we ordered a bottle of white and I wanted it to stay cold. She brought it back, slammed the bottle in the ice water and walked away. When the food arrived....after being asked numerous times if we were ready and never even telling us the special...it was just dropped in front of us and nothing said. I had the fish and chips and I could press the grease out of the fish it was so bad. It wasn't crunchy or fresh. My dining companion had another fish dish that smelled bad. We each took a few bites and left the plates untouched. The "waitress" reappeared and dropped the check off and asked if we wanted boxes. I said no and again off she went. No offer for dessert or questions about why the plates were untouched. Now, remember, we had a bottle of wine so we were talking and enjoying each other's company and just sitting next there drinking. Then the manager:hostess reappears and says "can you sign this so I can cut your server?" Seriously? Sure..:I signed it. Left a zero tip and walked out. It was horrific. Do yourself a favor and visit Taco Bell in the same parking lot. Your food will be fresher and the staff will be friendlier. This was the biggest waste of $50. Do NOT dine here.

Well, let's begin with the smell of mildew when we walked in. The hostess was very nice. But then the service began... We ordered an app that came at the same time as Dinner. The waitress was somewhat apologetic, but not really. Didn't offer to take it off the bill or bring dinner out later, just "oh well"! My medium rare burger was well done, as was my husband's rare! I guess they have one set to g on the microwave. While I was still eating, she asked if she could bring me a box to bring it home. Then the bill came before we even put our forks down. I guess they were in a rush to open up the table in an empty restaurant.

I saw the four star yelp review and decided to go. No way a 4 star. Dingy restaurant with a odd smell. Food WAS decent but service was poor. I asked for a rare burger but it was medium. They served the appetizer at the SAME time as the entree with a weak sorry. No ask for desert. I cannot comment on other Twin Falls places but I would stick to Applebee's.

From the moment we arrived we were treated well. We were seated promptly, tended to quickly and our server greeted us promptly. The atmosphere was friendly and open. And the food... I guess it all hinges on the food, right? I may have been served the best flat iron steak I have ever eaten and that is saying a lot. My wife's shrimp was very good, though slightly over cooked. And the prices were reasonable as well. $50 for two including a nice bottle of merlot.

After a long day of traveling we made it to Twin Falls and decided on this restaurant. We were kindly welcomed, seated quickly and had wonderful service from a very nice waitress. The food was so good that we didn't want to try anywhere else while in town. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back!

River Rock Grill is one of those restaurants that has enough of a selection that everyone in your party will be able to find something they like. Quick and friendly service.

Amazing! As anyone from Twin knows, finding a great meal for a good price can be frustrating. After waiting way too long to try this place we finally went for it. The menu is very extensive and a bit overwhelming with many great sounding dishes, luckily they have one of those 2 for... In this case $25 got you an app to share or a salad or soup each and a choice between many many entrees which also come with a side. All of this is plenty of food but just to make it better you get to split one of their amazing deserts. I ordered the Black and Blue Burger asking them to add bacon and this was one of the BEST burgers I have ever had. The waitress did let it slip that they don't make their own patties but they certainly must buy a very high end sirloin burger and for once it didn't seem to matter, oh and it had a pile of home made onion rings on top as a surprise bonus. I'm telling you this was an amazing meal! We did luck out and were able to take advantage of their happy hour, buy 1 get 1 free well drink, so our total bill with all of that food one drink a piece and a huge piece of cake and a cup of ice cream safely packed up to go... was only $33! Obviously this is not a cheap meal but certainly comparable to the chains in prices while way way above them in quality, quantity and atmosphere. ( I never write reviews so that should tell you something)

Good, not great. I had the fish tacos and they weren't bad, but not really life changing either. Dessert, however, was very good. We had the cheesecake and it was everything you would expect from a good cheesecake. All in all River Rock Grill is viable addition to your dining out repertoire.
(3)Tom V.
Great service and excellent burgers. The whole family was pleased with what they ordered.
(4)David L.
First time going here, but it had good reviews. Family friendly, and great service. Can't say enough about that. Problem is, the food doesn't match up to their service. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, just...meh. No one at the table was talking about how amazing theirs was. I had the flat iron steak, and it was good, but again, not great. Menu was really overloaded. I think simplifying the menu and focusing on a few great things would go a long way. Go for the great service.

Lunch menu was varied but traditional American eh.... Server was not very bright - I asked for no bread and she brought it anyway. I asked her could I just get fruit instead and she said no and walked away. Horrible.....service I've had better and if this was the best Twin Falls has then feel bad for the citizens Hence 2 stars.... sucks to be in Twin Falls
(2)Carol M.
Service was impeccable. Drinks were poorly made and when told that a shot of Patron was $10--clearly a huge profit center!! Food was unappetizing and lackluster for all the hype about local sourcing.
(1)Jay S.
Stopped in there while passing through the area, I can't say enough good about the service - it was over the top!! The food was above average, and the atmosphere was nice too for the price range. My only suggestion for improvement would be to change the "Idaho Nachos" from using fries, to sliced potatoes, it's pretty hard to keep the nacho toppings to balance on a fry. That's the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star. Great value - Great food - and Outstanding service.

Delectable! The River Rock Grill is one of my favorite places to eat out at in the Magic Valley area. Pleasant atmosphere, attentive, friendly service, delicious entrées and the most wonderful, fabulous, heavenly desserts ever (that they make from scratch!). Recommend the Potato Soup & Lemon Bars :) Also, River Rock Grill Facebook page includes fun updates and giveaways facebook.com/#!/pages/Tw…

Instant regrets. Is a single star what you give when your food was bad and you also get sick? If so, my review is spot on. Oh. I got the bbq burger.
(1)Brenda C.
This is a very nice restaurant with a full bar for your evening cocktail. My fish tacos were very good any spicy. Our waiter was very attentive although he did not serve the salad until after we had our meals. We would go back and try something different next time.
(5)Mark S.
Very disappointed with this place. I ordered the Greek Gyro Wrap and it was not great. My wife had a burger which tasted like it had liquid smoke dumped on it. It was almost inedible. My kid ordered the grilled cheese but it was made on sourdough bread so he didn't like it. Others in the party had a pasta dish which they thought was good. The service was pretty good.

Stopped here for dinner on the way back home to Reno. Had a variety of items on there menu. I settled for the South American Sirloin, taste was a little different than I ever had but it was good. waitresses were friendly all in all a good experience.

Sit-down #6 while driving west. Much better than what I was anticipating. The service lagged at first, but once our server was finished closing out a big table, she was great. For a town on the smaller side, the food was rather good. Green bean fries with two dipping sauces was a nice appetizer. I adored my veggie wrap - the garlic spread was wonderful as were the vegetables and side salad. A lot of Idaho potato soup was eaten and enjoyed at our table as well. Overall, a very decent place with straightforward food. My main complaint would be the lack of vegetarian salad options.

This is our go-to place to eat when we're heading past Twin Falls and need a good bite to eat. The Red Rock is reasonably-priced and the menu is original. We particularly enjoy that the food is high quality AND the restaurant is family-friendly, a combination hard to come by. The asian inspired menu items are particularly intake enjoyable, and the fried green beans are delectable. Plusses: 1. Asian items 2. Kid friendly (Changing tables in the men's room!) 3. Easy access from the interstate Minuses: 1. Italian dishes are heavy and a little simplistic 2. Table bread lacks a crust. It's like eating a rosemary-scented sponge Overall, worth your time and dollar when in Twin Falls.

Stopped here on our way to portland it was amazing the onion strings are amazing service was really friendly and our entrees very good as well I'm drooling just thinking about the Greek chicken gyro so make sure to stop by

River Rock Grill (formerly The Garden Cafe) is one of the best places to eat in Twin Falls. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly and the owners Randy and Jane are great people. I would highly recommend it.

This is our go-to place when visiting Twin Falls from the Wood River Valley (which we do on a routine basis.) The food is fresh, tastes great, & well-priced. Their menu is diverse; pleasing every member of our family. The service is a bit slow, but the food makes up for that! Definitely worth going to & MUCH better than the 'chain' options.

My husband and I went to River Rock Grill for dinner last Thursday. Immediately walking in seeing the decor being so out dated we were hesitant to even go in. But unfortunately we did. Service was just so so. Waitress was friendly but didn't know alot of what was being served. My husband ordered the Tenderloin Tips. He asked they be cooked medium not rare but pink. I ordered the Fish Taco Platter.. Our food came - the Fish Taco Platter was just ok. Not memorable at all. My husband started to eat the tenderloin tips and every single one of them was blood rare. Now if you like that it would have been great but my husband made a point of saying he wanted it pink not rare. Told the waitress and she offered to have them cooked some more. What??? cooked some more? Most restaurants would have either asked if he wanted something else or had the meal started all over again. My husband said no. She went and got the manager who also said that they could cook them some more. My husband said no that we were not going to pay for it. They took the meal off the bill and we left. Went across the street to Johnny Carainos and he got pasta to go (late for a graduation) and it was excellent. Next time we are in Twin Falls were most certainly will NOT go to the River Rock Grill. Would love to give this place no stars.

Pretty good place. Servings are large and food was good. Server was a little slow and seemed confussed.

My boyfriend and I FINALLY went to eat here and are happy that we did! I tried the watermelon margarita. It was very good. We had artichoke dip and that was yummy. He had a burger and fries and couldn't stop raving about it. He said it was one of the best burgers he ever had. I had the cajun salmon pasta. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the dish had a lot of flavor. Very tasty. We shared a slice of chocolate mousse pie. It was a good thing we shared because it was a large slice. It was delicious. When the bill came we were surprised that we had all that for a little less than $40! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I just ate at the River Rock Grill for dinner. We had the Potato Soup loaded with cheese, sour cream, bacon, and green onions. It was delicious. Then we had the Idaho "Nachos". They were awesome and called for a beer. The fries were crisp and golden brown. They were topped with 2 kinds of cheese, bacon, cilantro, and jalapeños. They came with two dipping sauces ranch dressing and a spicy ranch that tasted like it had jalapeños in it. They were incredibly yummy. The spicy ranch made the perfect combo! For dinner I had the BBQ Burger and my husband had the patty melt. They were both good burgers and the BBQ sauce was delicious. It made us both think we should've tried the ribs. We got out of there for under $40 which seemed very reasonable. The waitress was sweet and attentive. We will definitely stop again next time we drive through Twin Falls!

Sorry but Yelp let me down! Based on the glowing Yelp reviews and it's close proximity to my hotel, I was looking forward to this. It was basically no better than an average Applebee's. Was there on a Friday night and there were very few people there. I appreciated the wait person's honesty when I asked if it was really "fresh" fish as the menu clearly stated (it was not). The "home made" marinara sauce wasn't very good at all. Many other restaurant choices nearby. Not sure how it compares to other restaurants in this city, as we were traveling from California to Montana and I am not familiar with the area.

We went here based on the reviews and definitely walked away happy. The menu was surprisingly large and diverse. Everything we had was excellent. The service was also attentive and appreciated. We actually tried to back a second time, but with a larger group...but alas, it was closed on the 4th of July. We'll be back next time we're in town! I must agree with the original review that this is one of the best places to eat in Twin Falls!
(4)Doug D.
Not a bad place. Ate lunch there and liked it. Food and service was good. It seems as though they cater to the old folks home crowd. Plenty of wheel chair access and very, very quite.
(3)Stacy H.
We wanted to like it and we were so hungry...but it just wasnt that good. The waitress was very nice...a little too talkative for my preference. I don't really like to be grilled about why I'm there and what I did that day. The only thing I really liked was the bread and butter, and even that I've had better.
(2)Katherine E.
Easy access from interstate and a great option for "real food" instead of fast food. Had a wrap for lunch with a spinach salad and the whole thing was yummy and great service.
